FAQ

The questions we get most often

Straight answers, including the ones about money. If yours is missing, write to us.

  • What does a shoot cost?

It depends on three things: how many products, how many images per product, and what they will be used for. A packshot job for a catalogue starts at [TO BE COMPLETED]; a production with styled sets and food styling sits on a different scale. At first contact we ask for the product list and the intended uses, and send a quote with a figure rather than a range.

  • What are usage rights and why do they affect the quote?

The quote covers producing the images plus a licence for the agreed channels: e-commerce, catalogue, website, packaging, outdoor. Wider uses, or exclusivity in a market, are quoted separately. It is the industry standard and it serves both sides: you pay for what you actually need, and you have in writing what you can do with each file.

  • How long from the session to delivery?

For a standard packshot job, [TO BE COMPLETED] working days from the end of the shoot. For larger productions we deliver in blocks, so layout can start while the work is still running. Rush jobs are possible — just say so up front.

  • Who brings the products to the studio?

You ship them, a few days ahead and in more than the minimum quantity: a few pieces always get sacrificed on set. For fresh and frozen goods we agree same-day delivery and cold-chain handling.

  • Who cooks and who styles?

Styling is part of the service. For styled sets and recipes we work with food stylists, preparing to the product's real instructions: what you see in the photograph is what the customer gets at home.

  • Do you also work inside the plant?

Yes — it is one of the four services. We do a site visit with the production manager, follow hygiene protocols and protective equipment, and move with light kit so the line is not disturbed.

  • Can we attend the session?

Gladly, in person or remotely. Someone who knows the product spots things live that we would miss, and fixing on set costs far less than fixing in post.

  • In what formats do you deliver?

High-quality JPEG in the crops you need for each channel, plus the open high-resolution file for print. Clipping paths where required, and naming to your internal coding.
